He is THE Best! I went to a DJ Aqeel show last night here in Dallas @ HOuse of Blues, and quite honestly, left pretty angry because he played a lot of NYK's stuff, and Dallas desis thought it was his.

BTW, starting up my own podcast - looking for focus group panel, that can give good feedback to the first draft when ready. Wanted to see if you wanted to join that panel?

Thanks,
Sachin (twitter.com/sachinrb)

Hey Sachin,

Yeah NYK always brings in some real fresh sounds - I'm surprised that Aqeel was throwing down all of NYK mixes in his set. He has an entire line of remix and production work himself (which is what people may be looking for too)...that is strange...how was the set in general? Did he rock the crowd out in Dallas?

Yeah - I'd be down to hit you up with some feedback when the podcast is ready. You can get me with a direct message on twitter (twiiter.com/djash) or send me an email at (request.bfe@gmail.com).

Cheers mate! AshishB.

Hey man,

Apologize for the late response.

His set in general was good. He did manage to rock the crowd in Dallas, and people here are (apparently) not in tune with the bootlegs and DJs..so anything right now to them sounds new.

That's a good thing for them, since they can still be introduced to it, but it begs me to ask, wouldn't this be the responsibility of the radio stations here to promote that music (like you do!) - Play stuff by NYK, Dev, A.Sen, Shadow, Chico, UK Bhangra, DnB, Swami, etc....get the international music in like Yves LaRock, Infinity, Houseshaker, Mysti & Pizzo, Bob Sinclair - instead of thinking it's perfectly okay to have a mortgage talk show on saturday nights.

I could walk up to any desi here, and 8 times out of 10, the knowledge in current music just sticks to OSTs. I hail from Dubai, and listen to a radio station there every day - couldn't live without it - and they know how to do this.

And so that's why, I want to be able to bring all of that into Dallas, hence the podcast, which may end up being on the radio station itself.

Wow. I can rant, lol. Over.

BTW, thanks again for opting to provide feedback on the podcast when ready. I'll def hit you up then.

Thanks for reading.

Best,
Sachin
